Numerical Concepts Inc.

Established in 1973, Numerical Concepts, Inc. (NCI) is a family owned manufacturer of specially designed complex equipment and parts for several industries both nationally and worldwide. NCI has distinguished itself in the areas of mechanical design, CAD drafting, finite element analysis, modeling services, electrical design, application engineering as well as manual documentation.

Under the direction of Don Jones, owner and President of both NCI and McCain Bindery Systems, NCI specializes in the manufacture of both complete machines and individual parts. Manufacturers of pressroom auxiliary equipment such as chill roll units, gain controls, finishing rolls and coaters, NCI is best known in the graphic arts industry as designers and manufacturers of the NCI High Speed Web Press Sheeter, originally marketed by the Oxy-Dry Corporation . NCI has also established a reputation as a world class manufacturer in other fields including building aluminum smelting, finishing and extrusion equipment for clients that include industry giant Alcoa.

The merger of two long time, family owned manufacturers has been a perfect fit. Sharing a common Midwestern corporate culture, McCain brought a well established product line to the project oriented NCI. NCI provided McCain with new state-of -the art engineering and manufacturing capabilities. McCain's manufacturing and engineering divisions operation was moved to a shared facility in Terre Haute, Indiana and a new facility in Alsip, Illinois currently houses McCain’s Parts, Service and Rebuilding Divisions.
